A camera parking session started for a returned rental car - why?
A parking session has automatically started in your app for a vehicle you no longer own, use, or recognize as your current car (e.g., a returned rental car, a sold car or an old company vehicle). The feature will automatically initiate parking in the account where it is activated, regardless of the current driver.
Root cause: This happens because Camera Parking (Automatic License Plate Recognition) remains activated for that specific license plate within your account settings. If the new owner or driver enters a camera-enforced parking facility, the system automatically bills the account where the feature is active, regardless of who is currently driving the vehicle.
What should I do if a camera parking session starts on a rental car I have retuned?
Here are some tips to stop being charged for camera parking session on car you have sold:
Wait for the current session to end. You cannot make changes while the car is actively parked.
After the session has stopped, disable Camera Parking in the app or remove the vehicle entirely.
Removing the car ensures you will not be charged for any future camera parking sessions by the new owner.
Can I get a refund for the camera parking session initiated on the returned car?
Refunds are unfortunely not provided for finalized and charged camera parking sessions on retuned rental vehicles.
Please note It is the user’s responsibility to manage vehicles listed in the app and disable Camera Parking as needed.
Before enabling Camera Parking, the app displays Terms & Conditions, which must be read and accepted to activate the feature.
